I always forget to notice these are pretty. when you look at them from this angle, they're not so bad.

Becky, did you take this picture? It's awesome. I sound like I'm ancient when I say this, but I can remember when you could look out to the desert horizon and see the joshua trees in bloom. It was an awesome sight.

I really love those trees. Why are they called Joshua trees? They don't compare to the Douglas Fir and hemlock we have here in the PNW, but they are beautiful in their own way. At least they don't tower over your houses and shade out all your gardens!
