I've been working on a couple of posts that I've been trying to find pictures for, and so they are currently gathering dust in my draft file. Something else always seems to come up before I can finish them.
But that's okay, I simply haven't had time to look through old photos...I've been kind of busy calling poison control today.
Well, actually I didn't bother when Judah tasted the dog food earlier this morning, because he'd done that once before without any ill effects, and after chewing, promptly spit it back out.
I wanted to ask him, "Has it come to this? You're so hungry and neglected that you've resorted to dog food?" This kid is always eating and snacking. I just don't get it.
Kibbles & Bits must really look appetizing. Mmmm...just like candy.
But while bathing him this morning, I left the bathroom for two seconds...one second into his room just across the hall to grab his little bath towel, another second to return...and there he is, the bottle of baby shampoo upended, and undetermined amount down the hatch.
I asked him, "Judah! Did you just DRINK the shampo?" with my firmest icky-yucky, we-don't-do-that face on.
He quickly put the bottle back up on the ledge (where big brother apparently left it this morning, because it is usually on the higher one out of his reach).
"No" he says in reply, a gigantic bubble coming out with the word.
Reminded me a little of that old episode of Lil Rascals where Alfalfa Corn had eaten soap, and was blowing bubbles...
I guess this wasn't so bad though. Judah did down an entire bottle of bubbles at my sister's wedding last June, which promptly came right back up, and that didn't seem to have any lingering side effects. Perhaps he didn't ingest quite so much this time around.
The fun never ends in the Frump household!

OMW, ROTFL!!! Hilarious!
Why don't you feed that poor kid? He has to resort to dog food with baby shampoo to wash it down.
You have the funniest kids! You and Shauna, that is!!! What a hoot! My brother used to eat cat food (the dry kind) just to gross me out. He got the desired effect. ;-)
LOL! Becky, our kids, together, would get into some SERIOUS mischief! I mean, they find enough on their own, but together?? It's enough to make a mother shudder! LOL!!
My kiddo drinks the bath water. Gross.
Well I hope he's OK, but it does sound funny. I remember that episode of Little Rascals!
I know it's not funny - but I love the thought of big ol' bubbles coming out of his mouth. I definitely like the idea of bubbles rather than kibbles - HA! Cute story - see you later Becky! Kellan
you sure make stories so fun to read!
couldn't be gladder to have 'discovered' your blog!

THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT OF!! LOL
I'm wondering if shampoo has any, um, "cleansing" effects on the body. Does it??
Gracie used to eat soap too! Everytime we'd blow bubbles with the kid we'd find her in a corner sucking the bubble wand dry.
LOVE the bubble 'No" image!!!
My son came in from the backyard carrying a handleful of wild mushrooms. I said, "Now we can't eat them cause they could be poisonous." He said, "I know there not poisonous because I already ate some."
That was my call to Poison Control.
Just good, clean fun in the House o'Frump.
Tee hee.
"No".
Ummm, are you lying to Momma? ;O)
Judah is about a year older than your brother was when he rehydrated a garden slug in his mouth one morning. I looked over at him sitting on the kitchen floor, near the back door where somebody had tracked in a dead one from the back step (I remembered seeing it and further investigation proved it to be THE slug), and there he was, kind of swishing it around in his mouth. And so indignant when I took it out! Then I about puked when I saw what it was. Times like that make you almost GLAD they go for the dog food (at least it's food!)or even the shampoo, but not quite. I wonder how much energy I burned just wondering and worrying over those kinds of things (and calls to poison control) with all you kids! Then you get grandkids and you STILL have to wonder and worry a little. Thankfully I usually get the report when it's already ascertained that all is well!
Oh Geez. We went through this repeatedly with my daughter. She drank some of the most bizarre things. I can't tell you how many times I've been on the phone with PC thinking I can hear them snicker in the background while I frantically try to calculate how much of the ibuprofen is missing or whether the Windex bottle was full or not when I left it on top of the refrigerator and left the room for 2 seconds.
Ha! Did you actually call Poison Control? What did they say?
Hi Becky - Hey - Thanks for the prayers for our baby - we appreciate it! See you soon. Kellan
Oh my goodness! I assume they said he would be fine? Other than a tummy ache. Ugh!
I can see Grace doing that too. She is always getting the shampoo bottles and putting them in her mouth. We had to call poison control once already too. She sucked down some antifungal cream.
I probably should have added into my post that the gal at poison control told me that baby shampoo is non-toxic and would, if anything, just cause a little gastrointestinal upset, and just to give him plenty of fluids throughout the day.
Haha, no not really... I may have ruined it for her j/k lol. She likes it sometimes, but now she is more of an observer and LOVES the outcome hehehe!
