However, it's come down to two things: procrastination lack of energy and the biggie...lack of funds. (But then, who doesn't have this problem lately, what with the economy being what it is?)
In a few words...we're still not done with our projects. **hangs head in shame**
It's hard to pull the decor together when you're lacking a couple of key pieces you probably won't have the money for until after Christmas (namely area rugs and furniture), and frankly, a before & after just wouldn't be complete without all that.
And quite honestly, having all had that horrible cold that was going around, we were just to wiped out to do anything more for a few days there.
Actually all I have to show you is this:
Yes, I'm sorry...it's just my entry coat closet.
And this is the 'after'.
Isn't that lame?
(And when you were expecting so much more out of me, too.)
And you know what? The trim isn't yet painted, and the door frames still need to be touched up, so technically it's still not even done.
But it's all I've got.
However, do you see that lovely trim and laminate flooring? That's what we did through the whole living area and guest room.
Oh, I haven't shown you those either?
Woopsie. Heh, heh.
In our quest to decorate the house for Christmas in a mostly finished state, we've been working like sled dogs to get things done around here and are hoping we'll have lots more pictures to put up soon!
Stay tuned!

I thought I was going to see some more pictures:( The closet does look very nice though!
OOOOOHHH, WOW!!!! I LOOOOOVVEE your closet! Wow, Becky, you outdid yourself on that one! (Sheesh). COME ON, GIRL, GET BUSY AND GIVE US SOME GOOD BEFORE & AFTER STUFF!!!
LOL~
Great closet. We don't have a coat closet in this house--so be grateful!
Can't wait for more pictures!
Are you playing in my self-esteem carnival?
I love the paint color! Don't be so hard on yourself, Becky! Take comfort that you are not the only one..... *head hanging too*
Love the floor and wall color. Can't wait to see more.
Hope you had a good Thanksgiving!
I know the feeling of not quite finishing these home projects. We still have tiny little things that have never been done (like switch plates and my hubby is an electrician - uge) from past projects. I'll bet everything is looking great and you take you time with the pictures - we'll wait until you feel comfortable showing all the work!
Have a great week - Kellan
(Pouting here) I don't have a coat closet. I have a hook rack thingy that gets coat-crowded and backpack-crowded...and it's in the middle of the main floor, so either entry you use to enter the house, you still have to walk through two rooms to hang up the jacket. :)
Count your blessings.
I'm sure you'll get to your projects when you have the time and funds. :) Nice closet, btw. :)
No worries girlie...been there! Yes, the closet does look nice! An Entry Hall closet is so nice to have. I'm sure when we see your before and afters, they'll be worth the wait. ; )
I happen to think that the closet is most excellent, and in perfect condition.
Even w/o the funds, I'm sure it's still lots of fun to dream and to make it yours the way you want. Go slowly--you'll likely be there a long time, right?
Well, the one picture looks great! I look forward to seeing more! I wish my closets were that nice and clean!
