Isn't he just the cutest little thing you've ever seen?
Lest you gasp and think I've been totally remiss in keeping you up to speed on all the important developments in my life...let me clarify that this little fella is the baby that was due on my birthday, but was born instead on Jeff's and my 16th anniversary. Born to the nephew that I used to babysit when he was a boy.
Kinda sounds like I'm bragging, I know, but I'm a great aunt. And Jeff is a great uncle. Several times over, in fact.
As the youngest of 6 in his family, Jeff is closer in age to some of his nephews and nieces than his siblings, and so our children were all born around the same time.
Jericho was just a little tyke when all the 'greats' started cropping up in the fam, and a handful of them are actually older than Judah (which makes things a tad complicated when trying to explain how we're all related. Especially for Judah. People he thinks are his aunt or uncle are actually cousins. He calls his grandma "grandma" but the rest of the little kids call her "GG".)
Anyway, this little doll-baby is the most recent addition.
He was a month premature, a lightweight weighing in at 5 pounds, 4 ounces at birth.
We're soooo thankful for his good health and robust size, considering he almost made an appearance 2 months early. Things were kind of dicey there for a while, but many prayers went up on his behalf and he stayed put a while longer.

Just holding him makes me get all ga-ga (or would that be goo-goo?) and start talking baby-talk and saying things like, "Oh, wook at dat witto head...and dose cute witto footsies..."

Precious, isn't he?

I'd better go...I've got the weirdest itch. I think it might be my ovaries.

He is so precious!
LOL on the itch.
He is so cute, those big eyes!
And your birthday was in June? Happy Birthday!
Looking at those pics made my arms ache. I have got the baby craving! Especially the one of the back of his head. So sweet! And he does have cute little footsies!
HA HA HA HA! I'd love to see you have another baby. Itch. Ovaries. Classic!
No reason why you can't have another baby, I did, and I was older than you are now! However, just between you and me, it's WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY different having one when you're pushing 40 than when you're younger. I mean, it's a quantum leap difference. Just hold this little darling baby in the pictures and offer to babysit him a few times. It probably will take that itch right away from your ovaries! (you silly girl).
LOL Your too funny.
He is precious!
I bet he WAS giving you the itch.
Just look at your husbands face! He got the itch too!
Congrats on becoming a great-aunt!!! He is BEAUTIFUL, and obviously quite the miracle baby! No itch for me...I got mine scratched. ;-) I do SO love the back of a baby's head...I just want to nibble!!!
I think my ovaries are itching, too. Thankfully, we've had a procedure among us recently which renders my itches harmless.
Of course the mood swings...that's another story.
He is delicious. God bless all.
Aaaaawwwww! He IS a doll baby! And he makes my ovaries itch, too! Wonder what that's all about? :) Isaac was a month early, also. He weighed in at 5 lbs. 14 oz. The 7 and 8 lb. babies looked like Amazon children compared to him. I miss having a baby around to love on. I'm so happy that you'll have a new one around. Babies are so precious.
I hope you're not still mellllting! Our air went out, too. But, at least I don't live in the desert. We invested in a couple of window units to keep us cool until we get ours replaced (the heater AND air went out so we have to replace the whole shebang.).
Stay cool!
Pam
Oh, I'm well familiar with that itch! (especially when holding a preciously delicious little bundle like that.) I can imagine the sweet softness of his skin...those darling little feet, that fuzzy hair...that picture of the back of his head just about did me in! This makes me long for those days again. Thanks for sharing him with the rest of us. Happy snuggling!
Thanks for your kind encouragement and prayers! You've been such a blessing to me. = )
Happy 4th of July!
Tracy
Oh, he's beautiful!! And look at those cute little feet!!
Oh, and Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary!!??
Ah, let that itch lead you...
DH and I only got started at 34 & 44...I had my youngest at 40...the latest will be due when I am 45.5!!! Granted, it is a little tougher, but well worth it!
Ummmm...love the smell of new babies!
Oh he is a cutie!! And big for being a month early! I'm betting mamma is kind of glad he didn't get that last month's growth spurt! He woulda been huge! :o)
Some itches need to be ignored and some need to be scratched. Whatcha gonna do???
By the way, did I mention I may be out your way in September? The Hoffer has a BMX gig in San Diego, and we will all be going along. Would LOVE to see you and Deb too while I'm there if we can swing it!
waaaah! i wanna have another baby! he is just SO cute! :)
